Bed and Breakfast Description

With over 200 acres this coastal countryside B&B is the perfect stopover to North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Shaded by stately pecan trees, guests wander and explore the forest, creeks and barns on this country estate that has been in the family since 1920.

The Caribbean Room and Mardi Gras Suite are in the main house. The Mardi Gras Suite has a private terrace overlooking the three-acre lakes. Brick floors, Portuguese tiles, corner tub and stone fireplace make this a favorite of romantics and guests who seek privacy. The Caribbean Room is whimsical with the bright colors of an island paradise.

Slip into the hammock outside your door in the Packhouse Suite. Nothing has been spared: full marble kitchen and Greek tile bath. On a rainy day lucky guests can slumber to the patter of rain on the old tin roof.

The Corn Crib in the Pack House opens directly onto the brick breezeway with a working fireplace. It is a mix of the sun-drenched colors of Mexico with its tile kitchen and bath and woven Peruvian calendar.

This eco friendly inn was featured in Our State magazine, Her Magazine and the Washington Post as a good Green alternative.
