Bed and Breakfast Description

Shippensburg, Pennsylvania bed and breakfast: McLean House

The McLean House was built in 1798, with several additions and Victorian features added by the McLeans in the 1870's. The Roses have restored this into a comfortable home. Branch Creek, with mallards and trout, borders the property.

Two screened porches and lush gardens provide a peaceful respite in season. (We've been known to often share plants with departing guests). Our area is a junquer’s paradise with dozens of antique and flea markets and weekly country auctions. Our Amish neighbors are a common sight - most local markets have hitching rails for their buggies.

Shippensburg has sites on the Pennsylvania Civil War Trails, and we are home to the oldest hardware Store in PA- Pague and Fegan- (151 years and counting!) We look forward to welcoming you.
