Bed and Breakfast Description

Rockport, Maine bed and breakfast: Island View Inn

Time will slow as you stroll the manicured lawns and garden trails of our 23 hillside acres, overlooking a serene tidal cove at the shores of Penobscot Bay. Watch the sails of schooners from your own personal balcony, swim a few laps in our crystal-clear pool, picnic in privacy at the water's edge—or simply relax in one of our impeccable rooms, each with its own distinctive décor, comfortable amenities, and stunning view of the bay.

Feel free to pamper yourself in the clean coziness of our accommodations or set out on a coastal adventure. Or both. You decide.

Catch some sun on our expansive pool deck. Gaze though binoculars—each room comes with a pair—at the sprinkling of distant sails on a sunny afternoon. Listen to twin fog whistles on a misty evening. View soaring gulls, fishing ospreys, and the distant shores of Vinalhaven and Hurricane Island. Or take a bicycle tour of our many delightful Midcoast villages, each just a few miles away.

The Island View Inn caters to two- to four-person groups seeking a relaxing vacation on the coast of Maine—with an inspirational oceanfront view.

Enjoy our famous ocean view from your large private deck - every room at the Island View Inn has one, along with chairs, a table, and a fan to draw the ocean breezes closer. All rooms also offer a king size bed, hair dryer, iron and board, coffee and tea in the AM.
