Das Garten Haus
Fredericksburg, Texas.
Das Garten Haus has three lovely guests suites, all with private entrances and baths, as well as personal kitchenettes and sitting areas. Each suite opens onto the New Orleans style courtyard, created by Kevin, horticulturist and innkeeper.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Das Garten Haus was built by a retired rancher in the late 1940's as a private home. When Lynn and Kevin MacWithey moved to Fredericksburg in 1994 with the intention of operating a B&B, they found this beautiful home with three private suites already part of the original construction, and knew it would be a perfect home for them. With minimal changes, they were able to open their inn in the fall of 1994.
Unique to Fredericksburg, Das Garten Haus is a true, traditional Bed and Breakfast only 1/2 mile from downtown. Lynn and Kevin live on site in the main residence and operate the inn. Lynn serves a full breakfast every morning in the dining room, utilizing fresh herbs and vegetables from their garden. Guests are free to enjoy the lovely gardens, changing landscapes, and seasonal purple martins and other birds drawn to the yard.
Lynn and Kevin are also excellent concierges of the Hill Country, present to answer your questions, make dinner reservations, provide maps, directions, short-cuts, and parking tips. They look forward to welcoming you to their Garden House. "Our years in the B&B business have brought us the finest of customers, and we strive to be the finest of hosts."
Our personal attention will have your stay exceeding your expectations!
