Come "off the road" to this Italianate Victorian home built in 1868 by mill owner Edward C. Crosby as a wedding gift for his son. Lovingly restored to grant you every amenity, we are committed to making your visit an occasion for relaxation and renewal by offering the perfect setting for a peaceful, romantic respite from the busy world.
The Crosby House beckons with its historic architecture, rare accommodations, elegant breakfast settings and a beguiling opportunity to walk back in time. Sumptuous full gourmet breakfasts are served in one of the dining rooms or on the summer porch where guests will find a refreshing place to start the day. Heart healthy breakfasts or a continental breakfast en suite is gladly served upon request.
Our beautifully landscaped gardens offer an elegant Victorian gazebo and water cascading over natural rock ledges into a Lily Pond. You may walk from the tiered gardens onto the natural woodland paths, which lead to spectacular views of the Connecticut and West River valleys to watch the sun set.
Executive suites are also available for longer stays.

Within an hour's drive are several major ski areas for some of Vermont's finest downhill and cross countryskiing.
Antique shops, crafts studios, golf courses, music festivals, performing arts productions are all nearby. You can also enjoy boating, canoeing, kayaking and skating on the Connecticut and West Rivers.

Reservation Notes:
We do not accept credit cards, so to hold a reservation, your deposit of 50% of your total bill may be sent via check, money order or traveler's checks. If for any reason you must change your plans, I will be happy to return your full deposit, less $10, if I am able to fill the room. (If I cannot, we are both out the same amount of money!)
