Bed and Breakfast Description

With more than 24 years in the hospitality industry, we can help plan any special occasion! Ann is a member of the San Diego Bed & Breakfast Guild, and the California Association of Bed & Breakfast Inns.

When visiting, you have the choice of three Guest Rooms awaiting your relaxing stay at Hillcrest House Bed & Breakfast. The "Zoo Room", the "Old Town Room" and the "Gaslamp Room".

For our guests comfort, we offer a large parlor with a fireplace, and dining room where a full continental breakfast of coffee, juice, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit and home baked items are served right from the oven. At your leisure in the parlor area are playing cards, puzzles, a reading library, and TV. A breezy open air porch at the front of the Bed & Breakfast is just the way to start your day reading the newspaper with a cup of coffee, or enjoying a glass of wine at sunset.

You will be warmly greeted by Innkeeper Ann Callahan and her Yorkshire Terrier, “Callie”.

Our bed and breakfast is located just seven minutes from San Diego Lindberg Field, and a quick drive or bus ride to all San Diego tourist attractions such as the World Famous San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, La Jolla, Pacific Beach, the Gaslamp Quarter, Historic Old Town San Diego, Tijuana Mexico and the San Diego Convention Center.

If it's medical care that brings you to San Diego, the Hillcrest House Bed & Breakfast is a short distance by foot or a quick cab ride to the medically acclaimed Scripts Mercy Hospital and UCSD Medical Center.

Most Popular Rooms:

The newly renovated Old Town Room is a window filled bright room located on the first floor with private bath and shower facilities. This unique room has it's own private entrance and boasts a comfortable brass style Queen size bed.

The newly renovated Gaslamp Room is our "Best Value". This bright and cozy space is on the second floor of the Main House, with private shower facilities. It is furnished with a Queen size bed. The original Craftsman moldings are unique.
