 Established in 1994, Parkside has welcomed guests in all seasons of the year. Its distinctive hospitality is designed to create "your room away from home." One guest put it, “just like home, but better.” Another puts it, “the comforts of home… the privacy of a hotel,” and still another, “European ambiance and Yankee hospitality.” However you experience it, Parkside will allow you to visit, work or vacation in a special way. Erected in 1865, during the post Civil War era, with antiques, decorations, and furniture from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries, three unique suites all feature private entrances, private baths, comfortable sleeping, internet access and interesting décor. Upon the arrival of guests, a few minutes of time are taken to make the guests familiar with their “room away from home” as well as the immediate Harvard Square area. The continental breakfast menu offers choices of regular or decaffeinated coffee and tea, English muffins with assorted jams and muesli cereal. Whatever the reason for a visit, Parkside on Ellery is the place to stay in Harvard Square. There are over 40 restaurants within a 15 minute walk. They range from great pizza to a world famous, four-star establishment. Catch a Red Sox, Celtics, or Patriots game or plan a visit during the world class, Head of the Charles rowing regatta or Cambridge River Festival. Go antiquing, sight-seeing, biking, or take a trip to the museums, art galleries, Harvard University and M.I.T., IMAX theaters, live theatrical and musical performances.
