Excellent value for modern, clean, cozy accommodations located high on a hill overlooking the quaint hamlet of Dorset. Take a break from your everyday hectic life and enjoy our serene and picturesque setting. Our newest addition: a luxury suite with fireplace and whirlpool tub.

A marvelous home-made breakfast is delivered to your room giving you the option of "breakfast in bed".

The Nordic Inn provides year-round service. All of our rooms have cozy clean electric heat and are air conditioned. They have four piece bathrooms, ExpressVu TV and clock radio; deck furniture and shared BBQ, microwave and bar fridge.

We have 5 standard rooms with double beds and 5 deluxe rooms with king and queen beds as well as double beds. We have two suites, one wheelchair accessible, with whirlpool tubs, fireplaces and king beds. We have two cottages for rent as well.

We are located in the heart of three fabulous expanses of pristine wilderness less than three hours from Toronto; Algonquin Park, Haliburton Forest Reserve, Leslie Frost Centre. We are the ideal location to explore this area year-round by car, boat, canoe, snowmobile, ATV, foot and bike.

Area Attractions and Activities:

We invite you to come hike our trails, trek with the llamas, or hike to the Dorset Lookout Tower directly across the road with a 500 square mile view.

Use secluded Charcoal Lake for swimming, canoeing, paddleboating, fishing. A fifteen minute walk to a natural paradise with no motorboats or jet-skis. See beavers and otters and other wildlife.

Spend the day photographing wildlife and then enjoy a campfire under the stars. An ATV paradise!

In winter, you can try your hand at x-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, sledding, snowmobiling or viewing the deer.

Most Popular Rooms:

Our newest suite is large with a whirlpool tub near a massive stone fireplace. In the winter, deer feed near picture windows. It has a king bed & is wheelchair accessible. The romantic room has a beautiful eating area & art work on the wooden walls.

We have five deluxe rooms, two with king beds & doubles, 3 with queen & double beds. Two rooms have antiques & all contain beautiful artwork. Our on-site 2 bedroom cottage has a private deck & hot tub. We also have a hot tub for our guests.
