Seven beautiful bedrooms with en-suite private baths. The Inn is antique appointed with ornate queens, feather bed mattresses and lavender scented sheets. The ambiance is serene and comfortable.
Come marvel at and saunter up the original, hand carved cherry wood circular staircase, relax by our Italian marble fireplaces, in the handsome library, spacious twin parlors, cozy conversation area on the second floor landing, our gazebo, veranda and lovely grounds. Begin your morning with a sumptuous, full gourmet breakfast featuring fresh baked goods, Maine produce and products prepared and served by your hosts.
On cool evenings and mornings, a crackling fire will greet you in one or more of our marble fireplaces. Early risers have freshly brewed coffees and drinks available at 7:00 am. Take a short stroll to restaurants, shops and the waterfront.

The Alden House, built in 1840, is located in the heart of Mid-Coast Maine, in the historic district of Belfast.
The Belfast Historic Walking Tour invites you to saunter a mile amid these splendid Greek Revival and period homes considered the first truly American architecture.
Walk to the heart of revitalized downtown Belfast and visit its fine retail shops, the arts, and unique local restaurants. Enjoy the street music and local vendors. Peruse the waterfront dotted with sail and lobster boats or take a windjammer into the bay.
Watch our amazing sunrises and sunsets on glistening, gorgeous Penobscot Bay. Day trip to Acadia National and state parks, Pemaquid and Schoodic Points, Penobscot Marine Museum, Sears Island-the largest uninhabited island on the east coast, and the "original" Fort Knox.
