Each morning, as a guest of the Inn, you will be treated to a delicious full-breakfast in the dining room where, 'The table is set with Sheila's mother's fine china on which guest are served breakfast.' A rotating slate of menus includes traditional scrambled eggs and bacon, omeletes, apple and cherry crepes, and blueberry pancakes. Sheila and Ira chat with guests over coffee in the parlor or on the front porch.

    The Inn is near the Talladega Motor Speedway and Barber Motorcycle Museum.

    Experience nature without ever leaving the city by spending a day at the Birmingham Zoo where you can see over 700 wild animals or at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, a 67-acre attraction which features camellias, wildflowers, and more!

    Museums of interest include the Birmingham Museum of Art, which is the largest municipal museum in the Southeast and features a wonderful, nationally recognized permanent collection and the hands-on McWane Science Center.

    For outdoor adventures, visitors will want to experience one of the area's many beautiful golf courses or go hiking along the trails in Ruffner Mountain, a 1000-acre urban forest. Take a day-trip to nearby Alabama's Sipsey Wilderness Area and enjoy such activities as hiking, hunting, fishing and horseback riding.
