New Orleans, Louisiana bed and breakfast: Bywater B&B
Easy access (1 mile) to the French Quarter, but out of the usual tourist path. Cool, comfortable, and home-like. No refund if cancellation not received at least 24 hours before scheduled arrival date.

The public rooms, which all guests may use, include a double front parlor with a growing library of books about New Orleans and a CD collection of Louisiana music, a sitting room, a room with videos and a television set, and a dining room where the daily continental breakfast is served.

All the rooms in the house have high ceilings, ceiling fans, and the original fireplaces (10 in all). Rooms are large and airy; the entire house has central air conditioning and heat. Each bedroom has a sink, mirrored medicine cabinet, hairdryer, beds with excellent mattresses, bedside lamps, and large windows with shutters that can be opened during daylight hours to let in the light. The four guest bedrooms share two baths.

Historic French Quarter, jazz and all types of music, incredible food, art and antique shops, plantation, historic cemetery and swamp tours, voodoo, art and other museums, atmosphere.

Adam and Eve: Twin beds, armoire/bureau, wicker chair, bedside tables and lamps. Most paintings and sculptures depict various artists' interpretations of the Garden of Eden and the fate of Adam and Eve. In-room sink, medicine cabinet, and hairdryer.
