Bed and Breakfast Description

Built in 1884, this grand and historic landmark home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This Italianate Victorian style home offers two first floor parlors, crystal chandeliers,original stained glass,a glass enclosed Observatory almost 50 feet about the Napa Valley, all on a four acre estate of grand lawns and vineyards.

Our guest bedrooms are situated on the second floor, each room offering a view of the vineyards, Victorian gardens and trees that were here long before the house was even built. A small parlor is also located on this floor. Most rooms have king beds, all have full baths, and are decorated in antiques and family heirlooms. Rooms are centrally air conditioned and heated for your comfort. The rooms differ in size and amenities which are reflected in their rates. Four rooms have flat-screen TVs and wireless internet is also available throughout the mansion. Your stay includes a full gourmet's breakfast which may include our famous Artichoke Fritata, or the mouth watering "Death by Cheese" or the decadent Bella Torta.

Explore the four acres of grounds including our own petite sirah vineyard. The Ink House is well known for the Elvis movie "Wild In the Country" that was filmed here, the Napa Valley lodging for the Wine Country Showcase on the CBS Show "The Price Is Right", certification as a Small Elegant Hotel, KRON-TVs "Best of the Bay" Award for Napa Valley small inns, and voted as one of the Best Places to Kiss in northern California

Most Popular Rooms:

French Room: Turn-of-the-century French oak antiques. 11 foot quarter canopy over king bed, sitting area, private bathroom, panoramic garden, vineyard and mountain view. Flat-screen plasma TV, mini-bar fridge, internet acceess. Elvis slept in this room!

The Vineyard Suite has a king-sized bed in the bedroom and a separate parlor that also contains a double-bed that comes out of ingenious antique cabinet (fully thick mattress). Also has a flat panel TV, internet access, and a tub in the private bathroom.
