This Northern Minnesota Resort Lodge was designed with privacy and comfort in mind. The accommodations feature four guest rooms all with private baths, fireplace and whirlpool. A two-bedroom guesthouse with a full kitchen, fireplace, and whirlpool bath.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Breakfast at the Lodge begins with fresh brewed coffee and the aroma of muffins or breads baking in the oven. Deb believes in classic comfort cooking is what most people want first thing in the morning. Seasonal fresh fruit is served at every breakfast, along with herbal teas, and hot cocoa. If you have special requirements or prefer particular breakfast foods, Deb will be happy to create a breakfast to suit you. Please let her know when you make your reservation.

The original owners of the lodge were from North Dakota and named the rooms after towns they knew and had some personal significance to them. We wanted to keep a part of them with the Lodge and our guests.

Each guest room in the Lodge is furnished with antiques, comfortable overstuffed sofas, and cozy bedding. The furnishing and decor of each room creates a unique personality. Central air conditioning in the Lodge assures your comfort during the summer months. Business travelers will be able to access the high speed, wireless internet from their rooms. The Lodge is available for group rentals, and business travelers.

The Dakota Lodge offers many special touches throughout your stay. High speed wireless Internet is available in our rooms. While we do not have TV's in the rooms, you may request a TV/VCR in your room. We have gift certificates available and for an additional charge, we can arrange fresh flowers, champagne or wine in your room.

Miles of walking and hiking is nearby at St. Croix State Park. The rustic log cabin style exterior belies its gracious, cozy interior. Each room has a fireplace, whirlpool and bathroom. Located 90 minutes north of Minneapolis/ St. Paul, near the Grand Casino Hinckley, just over an hour from St. Cloud or Duluth.

The lodge has fully equipped cabins for rent; perfect for your next fishing trip, cross country skiing vacation, birdwatching, canoeing adventure, kayaking, ATV, horseback riding, hiking, biking or rollerblading. The cabins are perfect as honeymoon cabins giving you privacy and peace.

Join us for Murder Mystery Weekends, Srapbooking or a great game of golf at one of our nearby golf courses. Guests visiting the Dakota Lodge Bed and Breakfast include authors, artists, Red Hat Society and birdwatchers.

The Bentley Room: A large room with a European King bed, which can be arranged as twin beds to accommodate single travelers. A comfortable couch faces the wood-burning fireplace. Bentley's huge private bath features a double whirlpool tub.

The Pinkham: our deluxe suite; a perfect choice for our honeymoon guests! The king-size brass bed and sumptuous double whirlpool bath offer our guests a wonderful backdrop for a romantic stay! An antique couch/chair set and a wood-burning fireplace.
