Bed and Breakfast Description

Treat yourself to a stay at our romantic Victorian Inn. We take pride in providing you with a memorable stay, no matter how long you can get away!

Main Street Manor is a historic Manor House, Victorian in style, which was built in 1901. It has a large front veranda and overlooks Main Street and its own lovely shade garden. We offer two formal parlours, the larger has a fireplace with period furniture and a fainting couch. The smaller is more of a library and acts as an information center to provide guests with menus, maps and books about the area.

All rooms are queen sized with feather beds and private baths. One of our rooms has a porch, another a claw-foot soaking tub. We have cozy rooms which overlook Main Street, and a room that can accommodate 3. Whatever your situation, let us know and we will help you choose the room that suits you best!

A full gourmet breakfast is served every day of the week in our formal dining room and only the freshest ingredients are used in all food preparation. We belong to an organic farm and buy our meats from a local butcher, so we dispel the rumors that B&B food can be unhealthy. No preservatives are ever used and all baking is done on-premises.

Our Innkeepers will be happy to offer suggestions for 'must-do's' in the area. We look forward to your visit. Come to Main Street Manor and let us spoil you!

If you want to take a day trip, Duke Farms, the private estate of Doris Duke, hosts tours of formal display gardens, her home and the estate grounds. Let us reserve a tour for you!

Forget Me Not is our most romantic room. Decorated in Empire Mahogany furniture, it has a queen featherbed a large private bathroom. The room boasts an antique soaking tub for the ultimate in relaxation! Enjoy the window seat which overlooks Main Street.

The English Rose is a large room dressed in antique furniture & vintage linens. A queen featherbed and private bath along with a private veranda make this our most requested room! Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea at sunrise on your porch to start your day.
