In the heart of the historic village of Shelburne, Vermont, our restored Queen Anne Victorian bed and breakfast inn offers a glimpse of what life was like during a more gracious era. The freshly-redecorated Heart of the Village Inn features nine guest rooms, all with private baths, phones, WiFi, A/C, and flat screen TV.

Located in the historic village of Shelburne, the Heart of the Village Inn is the perfect place to stay in the Burlington area. We are conveniently located across the road from the Shelburne Museum, and surrounded by several great restaurants and art galleries, along with a quintessential Vermont country store and a local wine and coffee shop.

Nearby is the city of Burlington, voted as one of the top ten US cities on many lists. We are a short bike-ride away from Shelburne Farms, Shelburne Vineyards, Vermont Teddy Bear, and the beaches of Lake Champlain. The Webb Suite: A magical room. Skylights hover over a queen size bed on the second floor of our restored carriage barn; adjoining sitting room has wicker furniture & a 2-person whirlpool tub from which one has a private window overlooking the garden.

Harrington: An elegant king room in the main house, overlooks the gardens through a bay window - pale gold and navy is the color scheme. Includes a private bath and full Vermont breakfast.

Reservation Notes:

A one night deposit (plus 9% tax) by credit card or check is required to confirm a reservation request. For stays of five (5) nights or more, a 50% deposit (of the entire stay) is required. If you must cancel your reservation 14 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date, your deposit will be refunded, less a 10% administrative fee. If you cancel less than 14 days before your scheduled arrival, your deposit will be forfeited, unless we are able to resell the entire reservation. Please inquire with the Innkeeper, if you are unclear of the deposit conditions. If a guest does not show up for a confirmed reservation or checks out before the scheduled departure date, the guest will be charged for the entire reserved stay.
