Bed and Breakfast Description

Built in 1892 the inn has been completely updated, blending period décor with modern comforts: whirlpool tubs (most double) and separate showers in every en suite bathroom, guest-controlled thermostats for the central heating and air conditioning in the main house, fireplaces in all the rooms (and in several bathrooms), cable flat screen TV, DVD players and a guest computer with internet access.
The huge porches invite you to sit in one of our rocking chairs and enjoy the mountain views, the multitude of birds, and the breeze that always blows across our hilltop.
We specialize in romance and stress reduction. We have afternoon tea either on the porches or by the fireplace in the parlor.
We’re here to guide you on your expeditions to the exciting Asheville area, and to introduce you to our town’s wonderful restaurants.

Area Attractions and Activities:
Asheville is famous for its attractions, chief among them the Biltmore Estate, with its grand house, winery, and extensive gardens. The Blue Ridge Parkway goes through the city, and offers spectacular views (most popular in October, but wonderful any time of the year), access to waterfalls, and hiking trails.
Asheville has wonderful art galleries, and is a center for mountain crafts. There are many festivals in town through the summer, featuring music of all kinds (Asheville is a music center). There are many wonderful restaurants, many of them with outside tables so you can dine and people watch (the variety of people here is one of the town's attractions).
Outside Magazine has picked Asheville as one of the top ten places with outdoor activities, including mountain climbing and biking, whitewater rafting, hiking, camping, fishing, and more.

The Vanderbilt Room: Features a king sized poster bed with bishop's sleeves, a sofa, comfortable wing chair, and fireplace in the bedroom, flat screen tv and dvd player. The bath is huge, with a fireplace, double whirlpool tub, and separate glass shower.
The Biltmore Suite: Has a king bed and fireplace in the bedroom, and a fireplace and daybed in the sitting room. The marble bath has a whirlpool and separate shower. Both rooms have large bay windows.
