Bed and Breakfast Description

The inn is a restored, railroad wayside lodging with most accommodations on a single level for easy (plus one ADA compliant Cal-King suite with car park level access). The English owners brought many antiques from their families' personal collection to furnish the rooms.

A full and elegant three-course breakfast is personally served each morning in the great room on antique farmhouse tables. Tasty delights include Jackie’s fresh fruit appetizers, a breakfast entrée, along with breads, juice and tea or coffee.

Entrees feature a signature cranberry-walnut strata, asparagus eggs benedict, vegetable strudel with or without meat accompaniments. On occasion, you may be lucky enough to sample a true “English” breakfast!!

Activities include wineries (Ledson, St Francis, Chateau St Jean and Landmark are within 4 miles), ranging from Sonoma Valley through Russian River, Dry Creek, and the Alexander Valley. Napa County is only 20 minutes away over the Mayacamas Mountains!

Other attractions include Luther Burbank Gardens, Charles Schulz Museum, the Pacific Coast, Bodega Bay, and coastal redwoods.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Across from the inn is Annadel State Park rated as a top north coast biking location for its 30+ miles of single track trails. Down the street is Spring Lake where you can picnic, fish, canoe, birdwatch, or take a leisurely stroll around the lake. 5 miles away is Safari west Animal Kingdom for the children in you!

The hardest decision to make for the day is which wine region to visit first. Melitta Station is situated at the beginning of Sonoma Valley with the closest winery only 3 miles away. A very short distance north, you can explore the Russian River, Dry Creek, and Alexander Valley regions.

You can always take a side trip and canoe down the Russian River, balloon over the vineyards, or take a stroll along many beautiful beaches, including Bodega Bay and the Point Reyes National Seashore. Sonoma County also boasts award winning golf courses minutes from our inn including Sonoma National, Fountaingrove, and Oakmont.

Most Popular Rooms:

Kenwood Room: Sunny premium corner room, with comfortable antique brass bed, LCD TV and couch. Private bath with clawfoot tub (shower over). A sunny corner room with views to the hills.

Creekside Suite: Features a delightful Cal-King bed and private bath with luxury tiled walk-in shower stall. Custom Inn toiletries. Mini-kitchen with fridge and microwave. Dining table, lounge chairs and 26 inch LCD HDTV. Disabled accessible.

Check In Instructions:

If you plan to arrive after 6 pm you should call 707-538-7712 at least 24 hours in advance to advise arrival time and to discuss alternative check-in arrangements. Check-in before 4 pm is only possible by prior arrangement depending on housekeeping.
