Bed and Breakfast Description

Albion, California bed and breakfast: Fensalden Inn

The Main House offers 1 king bed room, 3 queen bed rooms, and a 2-room suite, Hawthorne Suite, named after the Innkeeper's great-great grandfather, Nathaniel.

The Tavern Room serves as the dining & living room and was a separate building in the 1850's. At the time, our driveway was the main route between Eureka & San Francisco.

When the Inn was renovated, the Tavern was moved and attached to the Main House. It still has a pattern of scatter shot around the original gas chandelier! The spectacular oceanview from this room is enhanced by the woodburning fireplace & is a cozy setting for wine & hors d'oeuvres each afternoon.

Next to the Main House is the Water Tower complex, which is a suite & adjoining separate room, each w/private entrance, woodburning fireplace & unobstructed oceanviews. The Suite has a full kitchen & staircase to a queen bed loft, the Room sports a private redwood deck.

At the north end of the property is the Bungalow. Crafted in the "hippy" era, it is built of weathered barn siding and exposed handhewn beams, which lend to its rustic atmosphere. It offers: 2 queen beds & 2 lofts, each w/twin bed, bathtub w/jacuzzi jets & full kitchen. Although it can sleep 6 people comfortably, it is often used as a romantic hideaway for honeymooners, or just plain quixotic types.

The size & location of the property is perfect for weddings & receptions, reunions or meetings. Feel free to ask for special requests, we pride ourselves in pampering our guests!
