Bed and Breakfast Description

The Carriage House of Woodstock offers comfortable accommodations just one mile west of the village of Woodstock, Vermont, one of New England's premier tourist destinations.

Eight rooms are uniquely furnished with a queen bed and private bath, some have whirlpool tubs and a TV. An additional room has a king size bed, fireplace, TV/VCR and whirlpool tub. Common rooms include a parlor for quiet conversation and music, and a family room with a big screen TV, couches, games and puzzles.

Summer is a treat, sitting on the wraparound porch, sipping tea and eating cookies. A full breakfast (featuring homemade muffins, fresh fruit and a hot entrée) plus an afternoon snack are included in the room rates. Relax with our inn cat, Ruggles, who loves any attention you wish to lavish on him (but he's not allowed in the guest rooms).

The Carriage House is 15 minutes from the Killington Skyeship, 20 minutes from Dartmouth College, and a couple of minutes from lots of shopping, galleries, fine restaurants, museums, and outdoor activities.

In the winter, there is downhill and cross-country skiing, skating, snowmobiling and sleigh rides. In the spring, summer and fall, there is biking, hiking, golf, tennis, and hot air balloon rides. Don't miss the foliage in October!
