This building was a convent in it's previous incarnation. We have turned it into what some of us call "Grandma's House" - comfortable while still being right in the middle of all the action. Communal dining table, queen beds, and wide front porch.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

We like to think of our kitchen as the heart of our home. Most of the time our kitchen is in use prepping a meal or preparing a meal or cleaning up after a meal. You can usually find fresh fruit, scones left from breakfast and something to drink anytime during the day. After a dinner at one of the village restaurants, you may use the refrigerator to store the leftovers for another day.

A large dining table allows a family style breakfast to be enjoyed by all. The breakfast usually includes fresh scones, fruit, main dish, juice, and coffee or tea. Let us know your preferences the night before, so breakfast can be of your favorite foods. We believe guests should not have to fit their breakfast into our schedule, so Sunny allows you to schedule your breakfast anytime up to 10:30 AM. If you’d like a more intimate setting, the dining room also includes a table for two with window seating.

The living room includes a pair of chairs with coffee table let you have a conversation with traveling companions or folks coming to see you during your stay. The room also has two rocking chairs to relax in for reading or watching television. Along with basic cable TV we have a number of movies on both VHS tape and DVD (and the player with which to view them) available for our guests viewing enjoyment.

Area Attractions and Activities:

You can stop at the Herschell's Carrousel Museum on you way to or from The Falls. Then there is the Erie Canal in Lockport. Watch the locks in action and ride on a real river boat while getting a history lesson on how these wonders were built. Niagara Power Project not only explains how we get our power from the river but has a great view of the Niagara River and hands on activities for the younger, and younger at heart, members of your group. Castellani Art Museum at Niagara University has a permanent display showing Lewiston's involvement in the Freedom Trail, Our Lady of Fatima Shrine has acres of peaceful walking trails as well as a church and visitor center. Old Fort Niagara shows how we were an essential part of the War of 1812 and the use of the fort clear up through WWII. Then we have concerts, farm museums, fishing, the Jetboat ride, and this year, a Tall Ships Tour of the gorge. Don't miss taking a walk along the gorge or a limo to visit the Niagara Wine Trail

Most Popular Rooms:

Our most popular room seems to the the Ancona Room with it's bookcase wall. There is just something about the books that draws people in and invites them to sit in the easy chair, put their feet up and relax with a good book.

My favorite room is the Leghorn Room with it's picket fence headboard and wonderful afternoon and evening breezes. You feel as tho you are sleeping outside, yet are safe from the elements.
