Bed and Breakfast Description

This grand Inn has spacious common areas with silk screened wall and ceiling papers in period designs by William Morris and elegant, yet comfortable antiques. Ancient cypress and redwood trees surround the property in landscape designed by Luther Burbank. Lush rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, and gardenias spot the gardens.

Six beautiful air-conditioned rooms have private baths. Choose from either a soothing whirlpool, a clawfoot tub-shower or tiled showers. Each room is richly appointed with queen beds, down comforters, rich linens, plush towels, lavish soaps and beautiful antiques. One room has a fireplace and private balcony. One room has a large jetted tub. Additional luxuries include television, guest robes, makeup mirror, bottled water, hair dryer and iron and board. Each room has a sunny plush window seat or overstuffed chairs. Some rooms have both.

The large covered front porch with wicker furniture and porch swing is perfect for relaxing or reading a favorite book. In the cooler evenings, enjoy a game in front of the fireplace in the elegant parlor

A full, gourmet breakfast is served each morning. Appetizers and wine plus port and dessert are served in the evenings. Walk to the plaza for dinner and live music.

Calderwood is located just 70 miles north of San Francisco/Golden Gate Bridge. Nestled on a quiet street just 3 blocks north of the Healdsburg Plaza, you are just a brief walk from the local boutiques, theaters, museums and fine dining restaurants.

Over 160 wineries are within a short distance. Boating and water sports are available at the Russian River and Lake Sonoma recreational areas.

The beautiful Armstrong Redwoods, with hiking and picnicking next to a stream, are less than 30 minutes away. Bodega Bay and Jenner with their calming beaches are a 45 minute drive.

Springkell: A romantic room with mahogany fireplace, soaring 10 ft. ceilings, Art Nouveau wall and ceiling papers, antique furnishings, four poster bed, French doors leading to a private balcony, and bath with clawfoot tub with rain shower.

Cambria: A beautiful gabled room with a two-person whirlpool tub and European hand-held shower. Antique mahogany furnishings, brass bed and overstuffed Turkish chair. The room overlooks the koi pond, rose garden, rhododendrons and azaleas.
