Operating as an inn for over 25 years, Agate Cove has provided unforgettable experiences to its guests as the perfect setting for weddings, anniversary and birthday celebrations, holidays, or just a relaxing getaway.

The Inn Provides....
Spectacular ocean views; you won't find a better ocean view than right here. You can even watch whales spouting from the breakfast room during the migration. A Full Breakfast; You'll start with freshly baked muffins, scones or bread. You'll follow that with a fresh appetizer (such as Poached Pears), and finally the main course, which is cooked to order. Private Cottages; 8 of 10 rooms are located in cottages spread around our property. Almost all rooms and cottages have fireplaces, private decks, and private baths (some with spa tubs). All rooms have private exterior entrances. Extensive Gardens; you'll find color in our gardens year-round! Concierge Service; we'll help plan your visit to Mendocino. We have an innkeeper on site for 12 hours every day, and they'll tend to your needs while you're here at Agate Cove Inn.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The Mendocino Coast is a beautiful place, with headlands and sea stacks everywhere. Five State parks and the Jackson State Forest are nearby, providing many opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding, 4-wheel driving, and kayaking.

There are dozens of wineries in Mendocino County, with many of them clustered along Highway 128, the main route to Mendocino from the San Francisco Bay Area. The village of Mendocino is designated as a National Historic Preservation District (one of only two in California), and it has managed to retain much of the charm of a bygone era.

Mendocino is home to a thriving community of artists, anchored by the world-famous Mendocino Art Center. There are many galleries and shops in the village, as well as quite a few excellent restaurants.

Most Popular Rooms:

Obsidian: This 600-square foot cottage offers spectacular views of the gardens and ocean from the sitting area or the king size four poster bed. Guests can use their telescope to view migrating whales.

Sunstone: Located in the farmhouse, this room features a queen size sleigh bed and sitting area with fireplace. Enjoy spectacular oceanviews from your room or private deck. Private bath has a tub & shower combination.
