Bed and Breakfast Description

MacCallum House is a collection of world-class properties all located in the historic and tranquil Village of Mendocino.

The Main Property, home of the famed MacCallum House, is private and secluded, set on two beautifully landscaped acres of vibrant gardens. The historic landmark Victorian estate is enhanced by an award-winning restaurant and bar.

After a short walk from the main property, you will find the luxurious MacCallum Suites, a luxury mansion on the highest hill in Mendocino overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The collection also includes the historic Mendocino Village Inn, another stately 1882 mansion set on Main Street. In addition a variety of vacation rentals are also available to choose from.

The main house (MacCallum House), built in 1882, features six rooms, each lavishly furnished with antiques. Many feature clawfoot soaking tubs, sleigh beds and ocean views. Seven cottages surround the main house, each with its own unique charm. Most include wood stoves and private decks. We have restored the original MacCallum barn and it features six rooms with river stone fireplaces, exposed old growth redwood beam ceilings, wood floors and dramatic ocean views.

An easy stroll from any of our properties within the Village brings you to beaches, art galleries, live theater, shops, restaurants and rugged ocean cliffs. Rooms feature generous amenities, full gourmet breakfast and an afternoon glass of wine or beer served with a selection of artisanal cheeses.
