 Our Region is only and hour and a half from Portland, Maine, or Portsmouth, NH, two and a half hours from Boston, and two hours from Manchester, NH. We have the best of the Lakes Region and the White Mountains. Here at Lake View Cottage, we pride ourselves on our hospitality and service. Our full breakfasts are sumptuous, varied and served by candlelight. We are the only Bed and Breakfast in our area situated on a lake. What better way to spend your anniversary or honeymoon than at our romantic, Victorian bed and breakfast on Silver Lake in the town of Madison, New Hampshire? Our traditional Bed and Breakfast Inn is located in the foothills of the White Mountains, between the Lakes Region and Mount Washington Valley, just south of Conway and North Conway. Here you can experience the romance of a getaway weekend with sumptuous candlelight breakfasts and Jacuzzis in some of the rooms. While at our country inn, snowmobiling, swimming, boating, biking, fishing, cross country and alpine skiing are either right here or nearby. Our glorious view of the lake is unsurpassed! Experience a romantic getaway shared with your sweetheart in one of our guest suites, with two-person Jacuzzis and fireplaces. We have packages available for that special weekend or midweek rendezvous. All of our rooms have great lakeviews, and each is individually decorated in the Victorian cottage style. Area Attractions and Activities: Swimming, boating, hiking, biking, Conway Scenic RR, Cog Railway, Mt. Washington Auto Road, Barnstormers Theatre, Eastern Slope Playhouse, Madison Boulder, 5 downhill and cross country ski areas, snowmobiling from our yard on Corridor 19, snowmobile rentals. Madison Old Home Week in August, Mud Bowl in September, many fine dining facilities, movie theaters. Services: Library, Jacuzzis, fireplaces, sitting area, boats, dock, fishing, romance, concierge Most Popular Rooms: Grampa David's: Has its own porch overlooking the lake, sitting room, comfortable king size canopy bed and fireplace in the large bedroom, two-person Jacuzzi in the private bath. Antique furniture and blue French toile wallpaper decorate the room. Grampa Earle's Room: Has exquisite reproduction wallpaper, queen size bed from which you can relax and look at the lake, sitting room and 2-person Jacuzzi in the bath.
