Milton, Delaware.

Built in 1790, the inn is situated on two landscaped acres in the Milton Historic District. It was built by John Hazzard who piloted Washington across the Delaware. It is private and secluded.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Furnished in antiques and American decorative arts, it features a peaceful retreat atmosphere and boasts a full service gourmet breakfast. Guests can enjoy the veranda and the grounds for leisure conversation and reading.

Fully restored, the 4,000 square feet interior boasts original woodwork including chair railing, random width pine flooring, 5 working fireplaces, a paneled library and a dining room with a magnificent crystal chandelier. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

Elizabeth's Room: Furnished in Victorian style, this romantic room features an antique bed and a clawfoot porcelain tub. Equipped with A/C, VCR, cable TV, CD player, phone, clock radio, fridge and microwave. Room converts to suite for additional people.

The Governor's Bedroom: Furnished with country pine furnishings and features an 18th century beaded beam ceiling. All rooms are equipped with A/C, VCR, cable TV, CD player, phone, clock radio, refrigerator and microwave.
