Bed and Breakfast Description

Tahoe City, California bed and breakfast: Truckee River Ranch Lodge

The River Ranch Lodge sits on the banks of the scenic Truckee River, a beautiful location for your Lake Tahoe stay, dinner or special event. This historic lodge features 19 handsome rooms, a dining room and bar cantilevered over the river, a second dining room with warm stone fireplace, and a spacious riverside patio. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or throwing a party for 150, the River Ranch is a wonderful place for your next Tahoe visit.

In the winter the River Ranch welcomes skiers and boarders from nearby Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows as well as many other ski resorts in the area. Stay close to the slopes, relax and enjoy a cocktail in our popular aprés ski fireplace lounge, or experience our award winning restaurant, a year-round favorite of both visitors and local residents.

In warmer weather the patio becomes a lively hub of summer activities including barbecue lunch daily, weddings and an occasional high-spirited concert. Visitors arrive by river raft, car or from the bicycle/walking path running along the property. Once dinner begins, however, the spirit remains casual while the mood becomes more tranquil and the service more formal. Whether you sit inside or on the patio, the river setting is perfect for dinner on a summer evening.
