Bed and Breakfast Description

As our guests, you will enjoy a one, two or three room cottage, including a kitchenette filled with complimentary coffee, tea, and cocoa. Kitchenettes have table and chairs, microwaves, refrigerators, coffee makers, dishes and countertops with sink.

Your cottage will have a king, king & two twins, or Queen bed with private bath, free local phone, cable TV, air conditioner, and free WiFi. Hair dryers, iron & ironing board, or hot plate available upon request.

Piety Hill Cottages has on-site parking, with most cottages having their own private, open-faced garage. We offer daily, weekly, monthly, corporate, and winter rates, as well as gift certificates.

Piety Hill is a 6-7 minute walk to downtown Nevada City, with it's famous historical district. Stroll along the quaint gas-lamp lit lanes and enjoy unique shopping and culinary delights that will inescapably tempt your pallet.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Once California's third largest city, the "Queen City of the Northern Mines" has much to offer today's visitor. The historic district, with its gaslamp-lit streets and beautifully preserved Gold Rush era buildings will transport you back to another time. Enjoy fine restaurants, theater and other cultural events. Visit unique shops or tour the town in a horse drawn carriage.

Experience the Gold Rush at Empire Mine and Malakoff Diggings State Parks, and explore the rivers, lakes and trails of Tahoe National Forest. Although winter snows don't linger long on the ground here, some of the high Sierra's best skiing, both downhill and cross-country, is barely an hour's drive away via Hwy. 20. Photograph the spring wildflowers and fall colors. Swim, boat, raft and fish the local rivers and lakes.

White Birtch cottage sleeps up to 6 people. It has a full kitchen and an entertainment center with 27" TV and VCR/DVD. This cottage stands alone on the rear of the one acre propety and has great access to the spa. VERY PRIVATE
