At The Steamboat House, guests reserve more than just a room; they experience gracious living surrounded by an extensive collection of fine antiques. Play pool or try your luck with an antique penny pinball machine in the billiard room. Curl up with a good book or play a board game in the library. Listen to soft music in the main parlor. Play the baby grand piano in the foyer. Sip early morning coffee or late night tea or cocoa in the upstairs parlor.

A walk to town location makes local shopping and dining both fun and convenient. Central air conditioning throughout the mansion ensures summer comfort. Enjoy the large covered front porch with rockers and porch swing, as well as the fountain and screened gazebo in the gardens.

Complimentary wine and cheese are served informally each evening from 5 to 6:00 p.m.; a 3-course breakfast is served daily. Mingle with your hosts and other guests or enjoy a romantic moment in one of five guestrooms, each with fireplace & private bath.

Elsie: Our largest room, the Elsie showcases an exceptional walnut sleigh bed. A large picture window overlooks a wooded bluff, and the room has a walnut antique fireplace and hardwood floor. Elsie is decorated in tones of fern green and gold.

Bess: Very private and romantic, the Bess also offers a personal, screened balcony overlooking a wooded bluff. An incredible antique bed & dresser, small fireplace, and private bath complete this room.
