Bed and Breakfast Description

Fitzgerald’s Irish B&B offers Irish hospitality in a unique sixteen-room French Tudor built in 1937. Voted one of the top 15 B&Bs in North America, "Most Affordable Luxury" and "Best Interior Design and Decor."

This magnificent and recently restored home is a landmark of craftsmanship, from its ornate staircase, unusual turret and slate roof and hardwood floors throughout to its elaborate 11 foot fireplace. You will be charmed by its unique castle-like architecture.

Fitzgerald’s offers four guestrooms, each with private bath. Come and admire the stirring architecture of the common areas indoors, or lounge on the sun porch, while enjoying the park-like yard to watch the migrating birds.

Just a short drive away are some of the most visited trails and beaches in the Great Lakes region, along with opportunities to sail, swim, bike, cross-country ski, hike, golf, shop and more.

Fitzgerald’s Irish Bed & Breakfast is located 30 miles east of Cleveland in downtown Painesville and is easily accessible from Route 2 or I-90. We welcome you and look forward to sharing our home with you.

Visit Geauga Lake, Cleveland Museum of Art, Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland theaters, Holden Arboretum, Lake Farmpark, Kirtland Mormon Temple and our local wineries.

Lake Erie beaches offer swimming, boating, sailing, fishing. The area also offers fine dining, golfing, hiking, biking, snow skiing.

Our Bushmills Room offers a Jacuzzi tub, Roman shower and microwave. A queen size bed and satellite TV also compliment this room. The Bushmills room provides a cozy and private space all to yourselves on the 3rd floor.

The Galway Room is the newest addition. It features a beautiful queen sized cherry sleigh bed and a high-definition LCD flat-screen TV with DVD. This rooms has a huge glamour bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower and his/hers sinks.
