Area Attractions and Activities:

The City of Woodstock was established in 1844. Its historic square is reminiscent of a New England village. The square is a showcase for quaint shops, restaurants, the Woodstock Opera House and many outdoor activities that take place throughout the year. Woodstock is easily accessible by train from Chicago (Northwest Metra Line) and by automobile via Interstate 90.

We're located just 3 blocks from the charming Woodstock village square (site of the filming of "Groundhog Day") where you can find everything from hand-crafted pottery, apparel, gifts and collectibles, toys, original fine art, antiques, gourmet foods, and exquisite jewelry to an eclectic mix of restaurants including an English tea room.

"Woodstock represents the very best of small-town America, a place where community and quality of life are values that are revealed in every street and sidewalk," said Richard Moe, president of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
