The 5 Continents is a reflection of the owner's world travel and life experiences. He has lived on or visited five of the seven continents of the world...hence the name.

Perfectly located for a memorable visit to New Orleans, we are just a short walk to the French Quarter or to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival held at the Fairgrounds. Easy access to Interstate-10, the International Airport, Amtrak and Bus Stations. We offer secure off street parking for our guests arriving by car.

Built in the late 1890's, our Greek Revival Mansion reflects a by-gone era in New Orleans history. Significant architectural features include the 14 foot cove ceilings that terminate in a delicate plaster shell and scroll motif, the original ceiling medallions, gasolier chandelier and the eight fireplaces with original mantel and ceramic tile hearth.

Guests are accommodated in our two room suites up-stairs in the main house or in our garden area cottage. Each guest accommodation is named for a different continent - Europe, Asia, Eurasia and North America, and are decorated with artwork from the continent they represent. Antiques and reproduction pieces furnish the rooms.

We feature a two course, hot, gourmet breakfast with such entrees as Shrimp Benedict, Buckwheat and Pecan Waffles, Smoked Salmon Scrambles.

All guest accommodations have Aromatherapy Spa Amenities, Turkish cotton towels, irons, hairdryers, color cable TV and high-speed wireless Internet access.

The European Suite: With over 700 sq ft, has a king size four poster cannonball bed in the rich, ruby red bedroom. The sitting room has a queen size sleeper sofa, chair, fireplace & a private balcony. The deluxe private bath has a clawfoot tub & shower.

North American Cottage: Was designed with our physically challenged guest in mind and those that just want a secluded getaway. It has a queen size bed, two-person, walk-in, multi-head shower, mini-bar and private porch overlooking the garden.
