Sweet Olive B&B is located in the historic Faubourg Marigny district of New Orleans, about a 10 minute walk from the French Quarter and 15 short blocks from Jackson Square.

It is a safe, residential, mixed class neighborhood. Strolling is encouraged; there are visual treats everywhere, from ornate Creole Cottages and their gardens to some of the most popular local venues for Jazz, Latin, and contemporary music. Cabs are easily hailed for the short ride home, less than $5 from anywhere in the quarter, generally.

A wall treatment of broad stripes conjures the fading grandeur of an antebellum plantation; a stenciled border of magnolias & an ornate handpainted headboard serve as fitting accents. It features a queen sized bed, antique armoire, & deep carpeting.

Faux bois raised oak panels lend a masculine feeling to this very surprising room. Guests have often spent the night without realizing that what they're seeing is all paint!
