Cambridge, Massachusetts bed and breakfast: Prospect Place B&B
The house is furnished in wonderful antiques and Oriental rugs on top of the original wood floors. Premium faux finishes of subtle multi-colored wall glazes add a unique flavor to the décor, while other rooms have authentic reproductions of period wallpapers.

Intimate hospitality separates us from the rest. A full breakfast is served in the Victorian dining room with a lovely window seat full of arched top windows, a marble fireplace, and the early antique wallpaper from the turn of the last century.

A variety of sumptuous pastries, breads, fresh fruit bowls, juices, coffee, tea or cocoa, as well as eggs in a variety of styles, are served on china, linen and silver each morning.

Prospect Place was owned by the same family for over one-hundred years until 1994, when we purchased the home and began a period restoration...

Bathrooms have been tastefully integrated to accommodate the needs of the bed and breakfast guest rooms yet great care has been taken to maintain the original spaces in the house.

Period details abound, from classic archways and marble fireplaces to the graceful winding staircase and cut-glass windows. The spacious Parlor/Music Room has exciting Victorian wallpaper featuring ribbons and urns on a dark blue background. The sitting area is filled with daily newspapers and current magazines.
