Bed and Breakfast Description

Designed and built in the 1950s by Portland's Commercial Cartoonist Ernie Hager, Brickhaven is constructed in a Frank Lloyd Wright Architectural style using recycled bricks and is decorated in an eclectic English country decor. Whether enjoying the scenery alone or for a special occasion, the setting is peaceful and therapeutic with cool tile floors, lush carpets and brick hearths.

Breakfast is served in the charming dining room with its view that looks west down the gorge toward Portland. A full country breakfast is served including delicious homemade jams and bread.

Brickhaven Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located to: the Oregon Zoo, the Pittock Mansion, the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, the world-famous Washington Park Rose Gardens and the Japanese Gardens. Brickhaven is also the perfect place for hiking with trails displaying the beauty of the area.

The Mt. Hood Recreation Area is also nearby with year around skiing and other outdoor sports activities.
