Whether you come to escape the pressures of daily life or to just appreciate the grandeur of the beautiful Maine coastline and the quaint village of Camden, you will be welcomed by innkeepers, Karen & Dave Kallstrand. The wide, wrap-around porch is the perfect place to begin your day with a delicious breakfast and cup of steaming coffee or to relax in the afternoon with a refreshing drink and a good book. On summer days guests may catch a glimpse of a tall mast schooner or grand yacht sailing out of Camden Harbor. On cool days, cozy up in a comfortable wingback chair next to the fireplace in either the parlor or the library and enjoy a complimentary beverage and home-baked delicacy. Formerly known as Edgecombe-Coles House, the newly renovated Timbercliffe Cottage B&B has six guest rooms with private baths that boast the best of the old and new. Some rooms have fireplaces. All rooms have comfortable accommodations with historic décor. All bedchambers are furnished with luxury linens and have their own personal hairdryer. Delicious breakfasts served on the great porch/patio (weather permitting) or on cool days in the large dining room at the trestle table. Special dietary restrictions easily accommodated with advance notice. Dining room with garden and wooded view, great wraparound porch and stone patio, where breakfast is served on warm summer days. Area Attractions and Activities: Timbercliffe Cottage is nestled on a hillside, in a quiet location just off of Route 1 (High Street address) at Timbercliffe Drive, between Camden, Maine and Camden Hills State Park; approximately one half mile respectively from either location. Services: Fireplaces, guest pantry, garden, patio, parlor, library, wireless Internet & parking. Most Popular Rooms: The Chauncey Keep Chamber: From the cozy fireplace corner to the king four-poster bed adorned with eighteenth century bed hangings, this chamber is often considered the most elegant. Private necessary room - combination tub/shower. Captain Pendleton Chamber: This room enjoys a handmade queen thistle bed and game corner. Private necessary room (claw foot soaking tub/shower.) |
