A cozy six room eco-friendly bed and breakfast conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Portland, and a short drive from area beaches and attractions. We are Portland's first certified green inn.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

Victorian-style home built in 1894, retaining many of its original features. Business center is available for guest use, with computer, high speed Internet connection, printer, copier and fax. We also have WiFi through out the inn. Off street parking is available as well as street parking. We have air conditioner and flat screen TV's with DVD player in each room.

A buffet breakfast consisting of homemade granola, yogurt, fresh fruit in season, and an assortment of homemade breads or muffins is included in the room rate.

We are an environmentally friendly inn. We only use eco friendly cleaning and laundry product. We recycle, compost and try to buy local. The Wild Iris Inn is committed to making this world a greener, healthier place to live. We offer two bicycles to borrow while staying at the inn.

Whether you prefer to spend your time exploring Portland's Arts District, shopping at the waterfront stores, or strolling through the city's largest park, our bed and breakfast offers convenient access to all that Portland has to offer.We will be happy to help plan your activities, make your restaurants reservations, or recommend places for you to visit. After a busy day, return to the inn and relax in our cozy common room or sit in the backyard garden as you make plans for dinner at one of Portland's many outstanding restaurants.

Area Attractions and Activities:

We are a short walk to Portland's art district and the Old Port. Also within walking distance is the the Sea Dogs Stadium, the Portland Pirates, Civic Center and the Portland Museum of Art.

Abundant restaurants, shops and music venues are close by. A twenty minute drive north takes you to Freeport, south, to the beaches.

Most Popular Rooms:

Iris Room: In the front of the house on the third floor. Awash with light from the Palladium window. A futon window seat looks out through the trees to the historic State Street neighborhood. Enjoy sitting area around a cozy electric fireplace and TV/DVD

Tulip Room: Queen bed with private full bath en suite conveniently located on second floor. It had a flat screen TV with DVD player.

Reservation Notes:

We have a ten day cancellation policy. If you cancel before the ten day period then you receive your deposit back minus a $20.00 processing fee.
