Bed and Breakfast Description

This restored colonial was built while Thomas Jefferson was president. John Caldwell, an immigrant from the northern part of Ireland who sought liberty in America, became "comfortably settled" with his four daughters on this estate in Blooming Grove, Orange County, NY. You will be comfortably settled, too.

We are pleased to invite you to stay with us for a romantic weekend getaway, a memorable honeymoon vacation, or even your next family reunion get-together! Our goal is provide you with comfortable lodging and an enjoyable, carefree experience.

A sumptuous three course breakfast starts your day off right in the sun drenched room, offering a bright start. The table is set with a mix of delectable baked goods that will tempt your palate.

We have romantic rooms with antiques and private baths, one of our rooms has a Jacuzzi tub. Our grounds provide a lovely outdoor setting for family gatherings. While wireless internet allows you to stay connected.

Catherine Caldwell: Romantic room named after the first owner of the house who lived here for nearly 40 years. Mahogany poster bed, empire bureau, Jacuzzi tub, fireplace, antiques, marble sink and bidet in bath makes this room a delight for any guest.

The Butter Hill: Recalling the former name of Storm King Mountain this room is furnished with a sleigh bed, comfortable sofa, basin sink and a beautiful Empire-style mirrored dresser.
