Bed and Breakfast Description

Our ideal location, panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valley and comfortable amenities are at the heart of our informal and relaxing atmosphere. A trio of stately and venerable oak trees that frame our expanded 1930's Cape-style cottage were the inspiration for our name.

Accommodations at the Acorn's Hope consist of Three bedrooms, each with private bath and air conditioning. Our elegant country dècor includes brass and canopied cherry four poster beds as well as a variety of English, French, and American antiques, vintage fabrics, fresh flowers, and down-filled duvets.

Our comfortable living room and formal dining room are each graced by a working fireplace. Thick towels, luxury bath amenities and warm robes are provided for every guest. In-room VCRs and our library of movies are always available.

Mornings begin with a sumptuous breakfast including coffee, tea choice, juice choice, fresh fruit beautifully presented, bread and muffin basket, entrees from the traditional to the inventive are offered depending on the residing guests' preferences.

Our lodging site is ideally located only 3 minutes from Great Barrington shopping and restaurants. A full fitness center 1 min. walk.Easy access to all the activities and cultural events that the Berkshires have to offer.

We are close to Tanglewood, Mahaiwe Arts, the Appalachian Trail, antiques, the Norman Rockwell museum and theatre festivals like the Barrington Stage Company festival and Berkshire Theatre festival. Not too far is the Hancock Shaker Village.

Most Popular Rooms:

Most romantic is the Orchid Room: The canopied cherry bed, lavender walls and close access to the fireplaced living room make it almost a private suite. Private entry on the first floor, antique cherry dresser and cherry floors add to its ambience.

The Beech Room is graced with a ceiling fan, large lovely bathroom, is the most private wing room, TV/VCR, Garden entrance, largest room with table and wicker chairs, cherry floors and large closet.
