Recapture the romance of the 1890s, while enjoying our exquisite decor and the luxurious conveniences of the new millennium: air conditioning, on-site restaurant and conference facilities, fax service, wireless Internet access, off-street parking, TV, VCRs in every room, over 100 movies, a smoke-free environment, a handicap accessible unit with a romantic double shower, and a kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator for guest use.

The Blue Belle Inn frequently hosts murder mysteries, horse-drawn sleigh and hay rides, our new Festive Fondue Feast, cooking, quilting and craft seminars, writer's retreats, and Ladies Night Inns. Advance Spa, one block down, offers massage therapy for guests wishing to pamper themselves. The Blue Belle is open to the public for lunch every day except Sunday, and dinner every Friday and Saturday night. We're happy to serve dinner to overnight guests any night of the week.

We feature local musicians, storytellers, and unique theme dinners ranging from "April in Paris," "Merry Olde England," "Oktoberfest," and "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling," cuisine to local favorites like stuffed pork tenderloin roll, orange cheesecake with raspberry sauce, and seasoned pork and parmesan stuffed pumpkins (in season).

Our picturesque little town is known far & wide for it's distinctive shops featuring quilting fabrics, country furnishings, Victorian whimsy, crafts, antiques & bridal goods, and our teahouse. Rent a canoe & float down the Cedar River, or bike, golf, hike, hunt, or cross country ski along it's scenic greenbelt.

Our quaint rural surroundings and friendly townfolk give visitors the opportunity to simply relax or visit our historic Norwegian church, vintage homes, gardens and ponds. The Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, Austin, MN's Spam Jam, and the Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood, IA are nearby if you feel the need to take in some night life. We are 2 hours from the Mall of America and 1 hour from the Amish country and Rochester, MN.

On the Banks of Plum Creek, from the Laura Ingalls Wilder "Little House" books, has a round turret alcove, maple floors, Oriental rug, spacious whirlpool, fireplace with gas log, plum & blue highlights & a lighted canopy of grapevine over the bed.
