We give thoughtful attention to the myriad of details of your stay so that you can focus on more important things - the hummingbird out the window, the fragrance of ocean on the breeze, sunlight across the garden path, which leads to the ocean beach. A full breakfast is served each morning in our oceanview dining room. All breakfasts are accompanied by a choice of Greenwood Gold Organic Apple Juice or orange juice, and a choice of Thanksgiving Organic Coffee (roasted locally in Fort Bragg), a selection of Numi teas, or hot chocolate made with ScharffenBerger Cocoa. At Alegria, we are committed to supporting sustainable agriculture, and we serve organically grown produce whenever possible.

Alegria is nestled on historic Main Street in Mendocino Village on a bluff overlooking Big River Beach and an ever changing ocean cove. Unique shops, beautiful galleries, and fine dining are just steps away. Six state parks & reserves, all within 15 minutes, offer unlimited hiking, biking & breathtaking views.

Always in transition, our perennial garden, under the guidance of master horticulturist, Jaen Treesinger (featured in Horticulture magazine) and our gardener, Dan Salmond, is a showcase of interesting and unusual plants. Situated in the garden, the hot tub features a relaxing view of the garden, beach, and ocean.

Cove Cottage: Craftsman style cottage closest to the water. Asian accents featuring elegant bamboo flooring, woodstove with glass doors, custom tile shower with ocean view, and a deck overlooking the beach. Coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave and TV.
