Our Georgian home is situated in a quiet area of the Olde Towne, only four blocks from shops, theatres, & fine restaurants. Enjoy a good night's sleep in our 15" pillow top mattress queen size beds and wake to the aroma of a three course gourmet breakfast

Bed and Breakfast Description

Each guestroom has its own period ambience, luxurious queen size bed, mini fridge and scenic view of our picturesque gardens.

As hygiene is important for our guest’s safety, we sterilize our rooms before each check-in, using our own Ozone Generator. Our Air to Air Exchanger provides fresh air throughout the home at all times.

For those, who cannot leave home without their laptop, we have wireless internet connection. Sit out on our deck and read those emails.

Both Sandy and James are comfortable in the kitchen, and you'll be able to sample only the best that they have to offer in a three course DownHome Breakfast.

A sample of our breakfast menu:
*Starters: Fresh seasonal fruit during the summer. On those chilly days, hot porridge with something special to delight the taste buds.
*Mains: James´s specialties - Omelet´s Galore and Eggs Benedict. Sandy´s specialties - Quiches Extraordinaire, and Egg in a Nest.
*Ends: Crepes drizzled with Ice Wine sauce, Fresh Rhubarb Fool, Fresh baked Strudels.

Area Attractions and Activities:

On Queen Street, a four minute walk from DownHome, you´ll be able to view heritage buildings dating back to the War of 1812. They now house unique shops and galleries for you to explore. The three Shaw Festival theaters are all within walking distance.

Enjoy gourmet dining at one or more of the eleven 4 diamond AAA rated restaurants in Niagara on the Lake.

The Niagara Golf Club (opened in 1875), the oldest existing golf course in North America, is only six blocks away. In addition, there are over 20 golf courses within a half hour drive of us.

Niagara is the premiere location in the world to taste Ice Wine. There are 17 wineries within Niagara on the Lake. Wine tours combined with gourmet dining are available. Within a hour's drive, there are some 50 wineries to visit.

And finally, only 20 minutes away is Niagara Falls. See one of Natural's Wonders of the World up close and personal.

Bordeaux: This room features a massive black four poster queen size bed, and a wine coloured ensuite with Jacuzzi. As you climb into bed, you will be surrounded by soft gold coloured walls, and your body will be caressed by tan Egyptian cotton sheets.

Beaujolais: The soothing green walls help highlight the elegant dark coloured queen sleigh bed complete with feather duvet and embroidered luxury cotton sheets. The ensuite has soft fluffy towels. On cold days,toast your feet in front of the gas fireplace
