The White Oak is a splendid example of the distinctive style of Second Empire Victorian architecture and a peaceful retreat located in Avon, NY. Avon is situated on the eastern bank of the Genesee River, offering myriad attractions for the traveler.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Avon is situated on the eastern bank of the Genesee River, in Livingston County, the gateway to New York's Finger Lakes Region.The site of the White Oak was deeded in 1822 to members of the Wadsworth family, owners of vast tracts in Livingston County.
All rooms have private baths. All guest rooms have individually-controlled air conditioning. A rollaway bed is available on request. Service animals are accepted for our guests.
A private den-parlor with television/VCR/DVD is adjacent to the guest rooms, for your private TV viewing, board games, or curling up with a beverage and a book or magazine. For your convenience, wireless Internet is available.
The huge breakfast-dining room welcomes you to your morning repast, with views of the lovely garden areas. In summer, enjoy your meal on the splendid wraparound porch.
Your full breakfast always includes fresh fruit and a hot entree, such as French toast and sausages, or a broccoli quiche, or omelets with home-fried potatoes.

Our proximity to Letchworth State Park makes us a good starting place for your hiking, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hot air ballooning, kayaking, whitewater rafting, nature and history programs. Visit the Mt. Morris Dam over the Genesee River. Letchworth's gorge of the Genesee River is truly the "Grand Canyon of the east".
