Bed and Breakfast Description

The Olema Druids Hall, a luxurious inn and cottage, is located less than an hour from San Francisco, situated above the small village of Olema. This estate-like setting is bordered by an old grove of majestic Eucalyptus trees and the spectacular Point Reyes National Seashore Parklands, a hiker's dream.

The original historic structure was built in 1885 as a meeting hall for the Druids fraternity. While the grand presence, fine detailing and integrity of the original structure has been preserved, a refined elegance, unique architectural elements and extremely comfortable private spaces were added during the extensive renovation.

Furnished with understated art and a serene color palette, the inn features a stunning gathering room with a majestic fireplace, private guestrooms, a vast Grand Suite and a separate Asian style one bedroom cottage in the special garden, all with marble/tile baths, some with fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs and full kitchens. These deluxe accommodations offer true sense of retreat.

For the summer of 2007, the Garden Cottage is the only available accommodation. The Main Hall is the owner's quiet domain until full lodging becomes available again in late fall. This makes the Garden Cottage even more of an exceptional private spot to enjoy.

Attention to detail sets this inn apart with the quality amenities including plush linens, TV and VCR with complimentary films and the local organic expanded continental breakfast provided en suite.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Just an hour from San Francisco, the Point Reyes National Seashore and Golden Gate National Recreation Area have much to offer: miles of dramatic coastline beaches, forested ridges, historic ranchlands and artisan culinary purveyors. This is a place to getaway, relax and experience the joys of this special countryside. Hiking, beaches, historic lighthouse, kayaking, biking, and bird watching are just a few of the outdoor activities guests enjoy. The area features incredible organic and locally produced foods. Oysters, cheeses, grass fed beef, fresh crab, organic produce and olive oil. The Pt. Reyes Farmer's Market features local food purveyors.

Olema and Point Reyes offer many unique and interesting stores including the design store affiliated with the inn, Vita Collage. All guests receive a 10% discount on purchases from the store including: fine jewelry, fashion accessories, unusual household items and the luxurious amenities found at Olema Druids Hall.

Garden Cottage: Finely crafted Asian style Cottage is ideal for discerning guests seeking the ultimate in privacy and comfort. It includes a bedroom, living room with fireplace, an open dining area and full gourmet kitchen. No one ever wants to leave.

The Olema Bedroom: A spacious ground floor guest room with a king size bed and sitting area. This room has a private entrance on to the front porch and features use of the Main Room/sitting area with fireplace between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. each day.
