Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

The Shorecrest Bed and Breakfast, surrounded by the waters of the Long Island Sound and an inlet of Shelter Bay, is perched on a beautifully landscaped acre of perennial flower gardens with hammock, fish ponds and lounge chairs to relax in, overlooking all. Our two private beaches, one on the Long Island Sound and the other on the inlet are available to guests.

The Innkeeper’s lifetime collection of antique furniture and textiles fits right in and guests enjoy a four course gourmet breakfast in the elegant dining room in Victorian style surrounded by period antiques, Venetian glass, fine art and vintage china and silver. Add to this the friendliness and great conversation provided by our interesting guests and you could not find a better way to start your day of adventure in one of the most beautiful parts of New York State’s Long Island than breakfast at the Shorecrest!

The house has been lovingly restored over the last five years, with updated private baths in each of the five rooms, central air conditioning throughout, an open fire in the welcoming lounge for chilly nights, flat screen TVs and Premium Cable. Only the finest linens and mattresses are used and everything is done to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of our guests.

Pets are allowed in the Beach House.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The first thing many of our guests want to explore, summer or winter, is our private beach on the Long Island Sound where you can walk for miles or end your day with a spectacular sunset view.

A tour of the wineries (we can advise), dinner at one of the many five star restaurants (we can book)or casual water side eateries is also high on the agenda as well as all the outdoor activities - kyaking, biking, hiking and exploring the acres of wild life and ocean front preserves - that is unique to this still pristine area of Long Island's East End.
Shopping possibilities range from antique stores or unique boutiques in the nearby Greenport village and all the small towns along route 25 west to the world class Tanger outlets in Riverhead.

Sights to see and visit include famous lighthouses, farms, historic sites, museums and galleries, an observatory and aquarium.

Local ferries can take you to Shelter Island, Sag Harbor and the Hamptons, or New England. Wonderful to visit in all season.

Shorecrest Beach Guest House - So close to the water you feel like you are sailing! On a small grassy bluff overlooking the Long Island Sound and available for weekend, weekly and monthly rentals is the self contained Shorecrest Beach Guest House.
