Bed and Breakfast Description

Now an honored member of HAT & PAII.
This was the home of the Pete Gibson Family, one of two brothers who built the world’s largest cotton gin. (Still in Ripley's Believe It or Not!)
The house interior is made of native cypress giving off a gentle warm red glow. The entryway has a spacious foyer with wainescoting made of picture-framed burled cypress. The foyer is furnished with plush carpets, an original grand piano, grandfather clock and beautiful art.
Three sets of double pocket-doors connect parlors and dining rooms that display sparkling Waterford chandliers, original artwork, Oriental rugs with family heirlooms and antiques.
For breakfast, such delicacies as Chocolate Pancakes with Mocha Whipped Cream or Eggs Sardou are served.
The magnificent stairway leads you upstairs to the Inn's three guestrooms, each one decorated as distinctively and impeccable as the next, with fresh flowers, chocolates and private baths.
The Hudsons are proud of their reputation as friendly hosts, providing their guests with unforgettable service and the epitome of romance through warm, comfortable surroundings, gourmet food and quiet seclusion.
After you have enjoyed this little piece of tranquility, and it is time to go back to the real world, your memories of your time spent at the gracious and delightful Calvert Inn will have to do until your next visit
