Ranney-Crawford House
Putney, Vermont.
An elegant, historic, Federal era bed and breakfast, near Putney, Vermont, located on a scenic country road, surrounded by farms and meadows. Full gourmet breakfast and comfortable accommodations.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Bedrooms are bright and airy, with handmade period furnishings. Two bedrooms have original Rumford fireplaces. A Palladian window bathes the upstairs hallway with sunlight, and a broad stairway leads down to the living and dining rooms, where you can relax in front of a warm fire. The house has been lovingly restored, retaining many of its original features.
Our patio provides an inviting place to sit in the sun and enjoy a cool drink while surrounded by centuries old lilac bushes and perennials. Also, our lawns, meadows and lovely natural pond would provide a perfect setting for an unforgettable country wedding.
We can also provide cycling route directions for self guided bicycle tours and fully guided tours free of charge.
A hearty gourmet breakfast is served in our formal dining room, or outdoors on the patio. Guests rave about our specialties including several varieties of homemade biscotti to enjoy with coffee, as well as omeletes and frittatas filled with fresh vegetables from our garden. Naturally, pancakes or French toast are staples to enjoy with pure Vermont Maple Syrup.
