Bed and Breakfast Description

Guestrooms and suites are available in four of the former estate homes, which have been meticulously restored— The Carriage House, The Dutch Cottage, The Spring House, and The French Farm Cottage. All offer picturesque views of the estate's rolling hills with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance.

Goodstone’s amenity program has been custom designed to ensure the comfort of each guest and to accentuate the residential ambiance of a fine country estate. Our daily room rates include the following amenities: Early morning continental breakfast in the kitchen of each residence, Continental and full breakfast served from 8:30am to 10:30am in the Carriage House, Afternoon tea served from 3:00pm to 5:00pm in the Carriage House, Video library for in-room movies, and Canoes for leisurely trips on nearby Goose Creek.

Goodstone is a very special venue for strategic planning sessions, corporate meetings and business retreats in a picturesque and relaxing country setting. All of Goodstone’s accommodations can be reserved to ensure complete privacy. We offer on-site catering for small groups. We can accommodate up to 16 people for a boardroom style meeting and up to 50 guests for private corporate receptions. Our elegant estate residences are ideal as hospitality suites and breakout rooms for informal meetings. We offer the professional services of an on-site meeting and conference coordinator in order to guarantee the highest level of personal service.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Middleburg is a charming historic village that offers some of the finest shopping in the area. Stroll leisurely down narrow streets to enjoy art galleries, antique shops, specialty boutiques and local restaurants. Wine tastings at the many award-winning vineyards surrounding Middleburg are popular year round. Civil war battlefields at Manassas and Bull Run, as well as Historic Stately homes such as Oatlands and Morven Park, are close by. Washington, DC is only an hour & a half drive away.

The majority of Goodstone’s on-site recreational facilities are complimentary and include the following: Mountain bikes, heated swimming pool and arbors preserved from the 1930s, Eight person hot tub with mountain views, Canoes for leisurely trips along Goose Creek to view the native wildlife, Shuffleboard by the pool, Romantic strolls through the woods along our shaded walking trail, Sunset watching from a rope swing in the Woodsy Garden.

The Stallion Suite in the Carriage House: One of 4 suites at the Inn. Enjoy the spacious sitting room with TV/VCR & CD player. The bedroom has a queen size four poster bed, walk-in closet & red toile fabrics. Northern views overlooking Goose Creek.

The Leith Room in the French Farm Cottage: Features a queen size bed, ceiling beams & carved armoire. Whirlpool bath & separate steam shower. Private entrance off rear sitting room with fireplace. Views of the cedar trees, rear gardens & Spring House.
