Bed and Breakfast Description

The current owner, Cindy Lewis, has restored it back to its primary function as a residence. It is lovingly filled with antiques and family treasures. Innisfree is on the National Historic Register, and also enjoys local status.

In the morning, smells of a freshly cooked breakfast come wafting up the back stairs to energize the house. The scent of frying bacon, or the sweet odor of cherry cobbler, or perhaps the cinnamon-tinged steam of a French Toast bake will invade your dreams in such a way as to make you believe you have awoken in a small corner of heaven, reserved for visitors to South Bend!

Area Attractions and Activities:

Within walking distance of the Studebaker mansion, known as Tippecanoe Place, the Studebaker Auto Museum, Copshaholm, and The St. Joseph's River East-Race. It is minutes to the University of Notre Dame, College of St. Mary's, Holy Cross College, Indiana University and The College Football Hall of Fame. There are quaint shops in town and Shipshewana is a 40 minute drive away. Wineries and antique malls are in the area, as well as ranked golf courses.

Most Popular Rooms:

Schocklehorne Suite: Is our largest bedroom area. It has its own bath, with jetted tub, shower and pedestal sink. A king bed with two twins and a daybed, make this a family suite or just for the two of you. Stained glass windows.

W.B. Yeats Room: Has a double bed and a view of the side yard. Decorated with a quaint touch - it is enchanting.
