 Whether you are reconsidering that late night drive home, or you wish to establish a home-base for excursions in the charming countryside of Mid-western Ontario, reserve one of our spacious rooms for your stay. What better way is there than to spend a restful night in a comfortable bed, and awake to a Continental breakfast in one of the region's premier restaurants? The focal points of the main dining room are the fireplace, the view of the patio and the Nith River - a warm and inviting atmosphere at any time of year. In addition, the restaurant boasts four other dining rooms suitable for intimate dinners or larger private parties. Whenever possible, we use only fresh produce, fruits, nuts, herbs and spices, local vegetables in season, and meats and fish smoked on the premises. Upon notice, we will prepare any of your favorite dishes and accommodate any special diets. Area Attractions and Activities: New Hamburg’s architectural heritage is evident in the many exquisite and well cared for Victorian homes that can be found in the downtown area. The first inhabitants of this settlement harnessed the power of the Nith River to turn the water wheels that produced the power for their mills. To commemorate this past the residents have erected a Heritage Waster Wheel, the 15 ft wheel is supposedly the largest operating water wheel in North America.
