This 20-room mansion built in 1897 by lumber baron Robert Lytle has been declared a state and national historic site. Step back in time and be treated like royalty. The 10,000 square foot home, on three floors, proudly displays the original craftsmanship of extensive wood paneling, ceilings, columns and floors. Cut crystal chandeliers, Tiffany-style lamps, leaded and stained glass windows are but a part of the beautiful antique furnishings, which enhance the Castle.
The period kitchen, formal parlor, tea room, den, grand ballroom, and 5 beautifully restored bedrooms are sure to delight guests and visitors of all ages. Guest Steve Luper writes: "Touched by style... Blessed with Grace, Hoquiam's Castle is a Magical place!... The breakfast here is by far the best.. The perfect thing after a perfect rest!"
In the parlor enjoy music and quiet relaxation. Visit the Den for TV/VCR/DVD/Cable, board games, and books. Enjoy beautiful views of the harbor and town below from the turret, porch and garden.
